Title: WeeWar
Post by: motorollin on September 03, 2008, 05:59:57 PM
This game is brilliant! It's a turn-based strategy game like Advance Wars, but browser-based and multi-player. It's great! The thing I really like about it is that it emails you when it's your turn. So you can play a game with a really long turn-time, like several hours or days, take your turn, then come back to the game later when it's your turn. And it's free!

Actually the game does work, but scrolling and zooming don't. I suspect it's because it uses an IFRAME :-(

There goes my dream of a portable, browser-based, multiplayer, online turn-based strategy game. Maybe I'm just asking too much!

Well, there are updates for the Iphone, aren't there?
Besides, why doesn't an Iframe work on an Iphone?

Yes it is possible it will be fixed in a future update to the iPhone software. I don't know whether it does have anything to do with the IFRAME, since it does actually display it but just won't scroll. The short-term solution is to only play maps which fit entirely on to the iPhone screen.
