I have unpacked some ADF files on my A4000 and when I try to run them
from disk, they usually crash, however running them on my old A500
they work fine. To get around this, is there an ADF emulator that I
could get for my A4000 so I can run them on my A4000???

There's a port of UAE to Amiga/68k, but I'd imagine you'd need a fast 060 to make it crawl - you don't have a PPC accelerator do you?
---edit----
BTW have you tried using degrader tools to fool them to thinking that they're running on OCS etc?

My system:
A4000T
Cyberstorm MKIII 060 66Mhz
CybervisionPPC
128Mb RAM
Ultrawide SCSI HD
I have tried a number of things in an attempt to get the adf files to work, but most crash. Thats why I was after the emulator. I guess if all else fails, I can just use the A500, but I wanted them all on HD to run from one system...! After all that is the point isn't it...?

WHDLoad (http://www.whdload.de/) might be the thing you're looking for.

There is a tool called diskimage in the aminet. You can mount adf-files and other diskimages with it.
