Title: pcmcia adapter cf-card reader
Post by: ElZorro on September 02, 2008, 07:23:11 AM
Where in the Netherlands can I buy a CF-cardreader for the pcmcia gate in the Mig?

I bought one at Conrad, but it has a PC-card bus, it does not fit in the Mig anyhow! (The connector is on one side to thick)

Can I adjust the card (grind the connector) to make it fit in a Mig or will I otherwise destroy the use of it?

Does any (dutch) forum visitor tell me where I can find a CF-card reader for the Amiga? (Online shops no problem)
perhaps he/she can also mention the article number  ;-)

A quick search on google (http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=transcend+compactflash+adapter&btnG=Google+zoeken&meta=cr%3DcountryNL) gives me lots of links for the Transcend CompactFlash Adapter I use on my Amiga, look here (http://geheugenkaartlezers.centralpoint.nl/transcend/ts0mcf2pc/compactflash-adapter/?ref=53) or here (https://www.pcsnel.nl/Transcend-adaptercompact_flash%3Epcmcia-TS0MCF2PC-827240.html).

Mine (http://www.sandisk.com/Products/Item(1138)-SDAD-38-A10-SanDisk_CompactFlash_PC_Card_Adapter.aspx) works fine with A600

BUT I do not have the case on ATM... is it a physical thing?

@ElZorro

If you are out of luck, I have some that is compatible with Amiga 1200. Send me a PM if you want to know more. I´m in Denmark though, so shipping will be more than if you get it locally.

Do you know how to make a link to a photo?

I took a picture of my cardreader to show the problem.
