doubling up between forums!
I have an issue with getting the efika on line. i thought that you just plug the ethernet from the router into the front jack, but it's not connecting to the internet. i'm using a verizon dsl wireless router.
-
No issues with MorphOS 2.0. What is your OS?
-
@zyphoid
What kind of netmask do you have normally on some PC for example? There is a bug in the MOS 2.0 netstack, it doesn't handle CIDR netmasks properly. MorphOS 2.1 update (out real soon now) addresses this issue.

@piru thanks. I was hoping you would help, not sure, will check later. running vista, what's the best way to locate it?
-
I bet Vista has million different places to check it, but at least in the command prompt:
ipconfig
-
no problems here with dhcp via my dlink router. it hands out ips in the 192.168.0.xxx range. my efika is working fine with its lan connection.
-
@ Piru vista yea that's why i asked
but i got it
If your network supports DHCP, it should work just after plugging. If no, you need to configure the network interface first.
trying the bridge now
-
Just posted the same on MZ, but let us know how you get on with the bridge, as I'm thinking of getting one.
You tried running CD-Rom games yet?
-
doing this all from sputnik now not bad first impressions, umm...good!
getting to (our pages) well
bad news on the bridge(linksys wet 54g v3.1) do a search for a link I don't
get how to copy and paste yet.
there is no connectivity! I was hoping to illiminate having the cord stretched all over the floor
tripping hazard and all!
I'll use "vista" to edit and post a link to the bridge i'm using
first of many more posts from sputnik :-D  ;-) :-)
edit: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1533889&CatId=1594
any clues? It just seems a great solution for this setup
I know it's got to be a configure issue!
Any clue Piru?

Have you tried plugging the bridge into the Vista machine to see if it works there? Just to tell if it's settings maybe wrong in the bridge or if settings with MorphOS.
Don't get mad for asking what may be a dumb question, but you of course logged into the bridge already from a browser on the computer that the bridge is plugged into, using it's IP address in the URL area- 192.168.1.226 ( the user name is probable blank and password is 'admin' on that thing) and configured it to connect to your Wireless modem with any WEP or WAP passwords if you use them?
-
i'm thinking it needs a driver to tell t what to do

got to the authenticate screen, but admin was rejected so it didn't proceed any further.
the connection is unsecure
