Title: A thank you to the AROS team
Post by: Dr_Righteous on August 22, 2003, 09:22:34 AM
I just got done playing with AROS native snapshot build 20030727, and I have to say I am really impressed. I thought I'd take the time to thank the AROS team for their hard work. You've all done and excellent job...

I applaud and salute you!

Unfortunately UAE still isn't on the CD. Where can I get UAE for AROS? With UAE, AROS would be of real use to me

I am looking forward to the release which will make HD installation and booting easier.

When that happens I shall reserve on of my removable hard drives just for AROS. :-)

You need to download the contrib ISO as well and it's under contrib/emu/uae

The easy HD installer was the first TeamAROS Bounty (http://www.thenostromo.com/teamaros/) and is located at System:Tools/InstallAROS but unfortunetly, the install works properly but there is a bug that is causing file corruptions when writing to harddisk.  Orginally the bug was thought to be ide.device but it has been proven to be something else.

TeamAROS (http://www.thenostromo.com/teamaros/) has set up Bounty #5 on this bug which is up to $55 so far.
