!!!Buyer beware!!!
The mother board from this system has *visable* damage around the area that the clock chip and battery used to be located at.
The add states there are problems with the RTC system, but does'nt state that there is motherboard damage in that area.
!!!Buyer beware!!!
EDIT: seller has updated add with more information, but wont admit to the motherboard damage (Besides missing clock chip).

umh, it Looks like a chip took a dump on itself ( picture 8 )

Yes the RTC circuit is damaged, as stated in the auction.
Why did you bid if that was going to be a problem ?

Hi Mike,
Are you talking about the GAL/PAL U902 ??
Thanks for pointing that out!. I never noticed that before. That was just some gunk or flux around the chip which cleaned up very well with electronic circuit board cleaner.

That bid was before I took an even closer look at the pictures after saving to hd from ebay.
I'm not going to be making any more bids on it after finding the damage.

I have already stated that the RTC would not work even with a bat+chip previous to your first correspondence with me ( check out the question from one ebayer ), that would imply that the RTC circuitry is damaged in some way wouldn't it?
If you are not happy with the damage, that's fair enough.. others don't seem to be bothered by it. I could have retracted your bid at any time if you had simply emailed me.
You have no right coming in here trying to sabotage my auction, when you know very well that I have not misrepresented the item in any way.
I'm not going to be making any more bids on it after finding the damage.
Thank heavens for that.. I've even made sure of it.
