I am using AF2008 on my Mac utilizing Hi Toro / e-uae.
I have set it up with the pre set system that came with AF2008 running OS 3.9.
I have adf files of some programs which I want to install but I cannot get them onto the WB.
Where should the files be located?
How do I insert the floppy?
Sorry for the newbie question.
Many thanks.
Aloha!

There's a very good guide here http://guide.abime.net/gguides/winuaeb.htm by a well respected (but now sadly departed) friend of the Amiga :cry:

Thanks davideo:
I am setting it up like that but using Hi-Toro instead.
Don't forget....I'm on a Mac.
However the adf will not show on the Workbench. :-(
If I use the "UAE Control" in Workbench it has a button for Insert Disc. This brings up a requester which I enter the name of the ADF.
Still no joy. :-?

Sorry but Macs aren't my bag - I assumed it would be something similair to PC :crazy:
Good luck - I'm sure someone else will be able to help you :-)

No worries Dave.
I was actually just reading another thread that I think indicated that an Amiga will not read an AFD file....but on the Cloanto site it says that these files are readable :-?

A native Miggy won't read an adf file without a prog to convert it and then write it to a flopy disc.
On a real Miggy you can use ADFBLITZER or something similair. Has a GUI to make it easier and will write to any floppy drive connected. I use it a fair amount.

@mauidj
This might help ... go to www.rcdrummond.net/uae/
Under E-UAE Links there is a link for Hi-Toro (OS X-GUI) which takes you to a web page about a Hi-Toro OS x configuration editor for E-UAE.
Another possibility ... no idea if this will work on your system ...
With the AmigaOS4/PPC version of E-UAE, I can insert a floppy into DF0 by using
[ctrl] [alt] [F1] keys on my pc style keyboard.
This opens a requester and I can select the directory and ADF file.

update from E-UAE documents
On Mac OS X,
F11 + F1 keys at same time to insert floppy image in drive 0
F11 + Left Shift + F1 keys at same time to Eject floppy image in drive 0

@mauidj
Nice to hear it worked out. :-D
If you mean the link to the Hi-Toro OS x configuration editor for E-UAE, I just happened to notice it on the E-UAE site maintained by Richard Drummond.
If you mean the part about F11 + F1 keys ...
I have the AmigaOS4/PPC version of E-UAE on my MicroA1 so that I can run some really old 68K programs that want to see the classic Amiga chipset. It suddenly occurred to me that I had seen something about the Mac back when I was trying to figure out how to do the same thing on OS4. Of course the key sequence is a bit different for OS4.
In the E-UAE distribution, there is a drawer called "docs" which contains some text files (floppies.txt, keyboard.txt, configuration.txt, etc.).
The file called keyboard.txt contains information about keyboard emulation. Part way through that file there is a section on command key sequences. Most sequences start with F12 + . Near the end of that section, it says ...
"On Mac OS X, use F11 rather than F12 in the key sequences above ..."
