Title: DKB 2632 and OS 3.9...
Post by: bash64 on August 10, 2008, 07:00:59 PM
Anyone know if there is a generic way to add 32 bit expanded ram to OS 3.9?

I am having issues with my DKB 2632 and I suspect that the 2632 command is just too old to be compatible.

Some sort of addmem command or such.

Did your 2632 work with a previous version of the OS?

I just got a 2632 working a few weeks ago, but with KS2.04.

Try searching aminet. I think I used the utility in the addmem301 archive when I was trying to get a Fusion-forty working.

OS3.9 and the DKB2632 work perfectly together here. Use the MUTools from Thomas Richter(see Aminet) to add the extra memory.

Cheerio,

WOW!

Didn't know that many people owned these things.

Thanks for tip on MUTools.

I tried addmem301.
The CHECK memory option crashes the machine.
I can add the memory fine.
I borrowed the start and end address from the outpuyt of the 2632 command.
My software came from the hardware database (2632.dms).

Problem resolved. Had a bad stick of ram.
Used SysDiag from Aminet to diagnose.
Using a good 32mb stick now and everything ok.
No more crashes/corruption.
