Hey all,
Pulled a bunch of my systems off to bring some to the CommVEx this weekend. Resurrected my A2000 and it's '040, much happiness there. But the most fun so far has been the A1000.
I've had a Rejuvenator board but had trouble testing it when I acquired it. After two years of storage, I discovered the clock battery has decided to leak and begin eating through the board. I'm an idiot for not having clipped it off the first time around, but I was lazy and didn't think it would be in storage for so long.
After clipping and cleaning, I got the sucker to boot (whew). It had a 1.3 ROM, the 1MB chip RAM, and sees 512K from the motherboard/front panel as Fast RAM. Unable to get either the Sidecar or my Dataflyer 1000 to work, I turned to the inside instead.
I have successfully fitted and tested the AGA-2000 flickerFixer and installed a 3.1 ROM from an A2000. I'd like to fit a MultiStart but the center screw post is right in the way. I'll probably saw it off when I get home.
My next goal is to get a hard drive working. I have a malfunctioning A500 with an AdSpeed/IDE that I will try, since the DataFlyer is defunct. I also need to get some sort of RAM expansion to work...
Pictures will come in a few days, if anyone is interested.

I'd love to see the pics. :)

Instead of the Multi-Start, maybe you can find a DKB KwikStart which was designed for the A1000 and should fit better. I have one, but it is damaged. The ribbon cable that has a pin attachment on it has one broken pin and a couple more that will probably break when I try to straighten the severely bent pins back to straight.
Nice to see another Amigan who appreciates the A1000. Good luck with your project.

I think the kickstart rom is in an entirely different location on the Rejuvenator, so this should not matter.

Dave, just a tip:
Buy a "professional" chip socket (those with round pins), cut the number of pins you need to fix your ks-switcher and solder 'em over the broken pins.
Problem solved.
