Money for Airfare needed ASAP.
I thought I would never part with this particular Amiga and its expansion, but I need to make reservations to fly to Japan for a wedding ASAP.
I am mentioning it here to give you members first chance to buy it, but as I am looking for absolute TOP DOLLAR for this combination so it will help me be able to travel to Japan in September, please don't bother contacting me with low ball offers.
Please use my e-mail from my profile, NOT PMail to contact me with offers and/or questions. The CD32 & SX32 Pro are as described in the subject line above. I am removing the 2.5" hdd that is inside and moving it to my A600, but I can provide a small (130mb) 2.5" hdd with the package if wanted.
Make me an offer I can't refuse, or these two items will be on eBay by end of the day on Sunday, 7/27/08.
The CD32 has had almost no use since I bought it about 3 years ago. It was New Old Stock at that time and had never been used before I bought it. It stayed in it's original box until just a few weeks ago when I took it out to install the SX32 Pro, as I had another CD32 which I used instead for many years.
This is your chance to get a VERY RARE SX32 Pro with the 68030/50MHz CPU and 68882/50MHz FPU installed, tested in perfect working order AND a pristine CD32 w/one game pad controller and a converted A500 PSU which has the extra power to run the SX32 Pro.
I will also have an A2000, A3000D and A4000D up for sale and posted here in another thread by Sunday as well.

Why would anyone get married in Japan?
-
Because they live there.
It is my pseudo Daughter that lived with us for two years as an exchange student about ten years ago and she has stayed in touch ever since.
A once in a lifetime event that I don't want to miss.
-
Not forgetting the cheap Saki (rice wine) :-D
-
wow. I can't offer you big money but you can stay at my place if you're coming to Tokyo :) japanese weddings are fun, you'll be amazed at the ceremony. but may get bored as it will be long and you won't understand much of it (lots of talk in japanese).
-
I can't afford such a CD32 but I can however hope you have a great time out. Plus you get my best regards. :-)

What constitutes a fair offer for a CD32 with SX32 Pro these days?
-
the last one I saw went for a grand.
this item is much rarer than bppc's.
it's a collector's item.

If you have to ask.................
@countzero,
Thanks for the offer, but I don't think I will be able to visit Tokyo during my trip.

$1,000, I accept your offer!
(I guess it's off to eBay)
Actually, if any of you are interested and willing to pay me $600 plus shipping, it is yours. I have found a round trip ticket for $687.

I'm flirting with bankruptcy at the moment but if I were rich, I would love to buy it, oh well... ^^
I would trade my xbox 360 with couple of games(gtaIV, halo 3, half life orange box and few others) for your sx32 pro though.

@ amigadave:
Keep the SX32 fella! ;-)

Enjoy your visit to Japan.
Traditional weddings do go on a bit, but are incredibly interesting for the uninitiated.

Great time to come to Japan, it will be a great experience to see the traditional japanese wedding. My wife and I had the traditional wedding, it was very long and difficult but a beautiful ceremony. Good luck with selling your CD32!
-
SOLD!
Thanks for your support, I think I might just be able to make that trip to Japan in September now. :-D
-
good luck, and have a great time! :-D
damn $600USD? sheesh, i, like most people here "if only"
nice to know these still come up now and again :-)

@amigadave
Darn, I had the cash like a week ago...actually I will have it again next Friday. Let me know if that guy changes his mind.
For those who want to know..........I personally sold my SX32 pro for about $700 if I remember correctly and I think it was alone without the CD32.........and I regretted it as far as why I sold it (almost got married), but half the reason I sold it for I don't regret
-
Why now when i cant afford it! ^^
Dont go spending it like i would now then!
-
no wonder it sold so fast, how much you got for it?
-

Yup, because no one except the Japanese and 外人タレント understand Japanese... ;-)

Perhaps, he got around same price as the 30 year old Commodore Pet:
