Hello All,
I am trying to install OS4 on my classic A4000T Cyberstorm PPC
machine, but when I try to install OS4 all I get is different colors loading up. Anyone got any idea?
Thanks in advance,
Merv Stent

The different colors are normal on the Amiga RGB output. What happens next does the machine just hang? How much memory do you have? Are you using a graphics card, does the PPC side work properly under 3.x ? More information would be helpful.

Hello Jeff,
The machine seems to hang after the colors show up, it does not matter if the output is from the native Amiga RGB port or via the Cybervision card. The colors still stick. I have the full 128 Meg's of ram installed on the board. Thanks Merv Stent

I have to go to work now and someone else will be along soon to help no doubt. If the CS PPC card is good without a doubt then you should be able make it work, but it might take some research.
I seem to recall having to change some settings in the CS PPC early boot menu. I think the ram speed has to be set to 70ns and perhaps turn off Maprom if it is enabled. I think I also had to turn off LUN for the UW SCSI controller. Try holding down ESC to get the CS boot menu.
There are lots of people here who have Classic OS4 running. Keep Trying and Good Luck!

Please tell me the "Exact" Hardware set up you have there when installing OS4. I might be able to help with more info on your hardware arrangement. :-?

@amiga1084
do you have a SCSI HD connected to the internal A4kT scsi port? if yes, is not supported.

Do you have a Z3 Fastlane card in your machine+ if so..please remove it..it's unsupported and causes the machine to hang right after you see the cycling colours
