Title: Syquest 1.5GB SyJet portable/removable SCSI disk
Post by: alewis on July 11, 2008, 01:22:30 PM
Found this in the cupboard too, so stuck on ebay.

1.5Gb drive and media. Boxed and Unused (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Syquest-SyJet-1-5GB-portable-SCSI-II-drive-Boxed-unused_W0QQitemZ230270503641QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item230270503641&_trksid=p3286.m14.l1318)

Most old hands will know what it is, for the young'uns, it's an external portable SCSI drive, 1.5GB capacity. This one is boxed and unused. Complete with SCSI cable, PSU, and 1 x 1.5gb cartridge.

Thanks for looking

Darn - If I could plug it in, I would buy it! These are good devices.

I use an Orb external cartridge SCSI drive on my A2000 and A3000 (I have 1 cart for each divided into 2 x 1GB partitions).  It also came with a SCSI-to-USB adapter to use with a PC.  When I get home I'll see if I can still find it and test it on the A4000 via the Deneb card.  Hopefully the USB stack will treat it as a mass storage device (fingers crossed).
