That´s 254 Euro according to http://www.xe.com/  :-)
I actually don´t need it but in case someone else might be interested, how much would you charge for shipping worldwide ?   :-?

Interested parties can estimate shipping from Washington, USA, zip:98366.

Will post weight once I am home from work.

Good idea to take the drive out and weigh it. 3.5" 50pin scsi hard disks are 10 a penny and not worth shipping.....just my tupenceworth :)

Shaz

PS I think their Quantum drives in the GVP.....definately not worth sending long distance. :)

PPS Just for a laugh I checked by cupboard and their stands a nice 73gb  :) Oh would be nice to wrap an a530t around it :) Max 4gb what a waste :)

Wow, $400 is quite a lot!  For that you could get an Efika, graphics card and MOS 2 license ;-)

Seriously though, are those really worth that much?  Did you sell it yet?  I live in WA, USA so shipping wouldn't be an issue.

$400 is about the going price.
It's a rather rare addition to an A500.

I woulden't sell it at all if I didn't need the cash. Such is life.

It's not sold yet...

They are not rare, and they are not particularly very good.

It's just that they were highly promoted in games magazines and every kid wanted one but could never afford one.

This makes them highly prized and sort after now. Which pushes the price up.

Gimme a truly rare DCE Viper 530 (http://bboah.amiga-resistance.info/cgi-bin/showhardware_en.cgi?HARDID=67) any day.

For $400 you could get an A4000/40... slightly better if you ask me.

Fair maybe. But no sane person would pay that. They'd just get an A1200 + Blizzard 1230 MKIV for €100 and have a better system.

What you linked to are A1200 accelerators, not A530 accelerators for A500.

he's trying to disprove me (showing sub 100 EUR 1200 accelerators) but he can't :) those sub 100EUR are junk with limited ram expansion capability. nobody will give you his nice MKIV for less than 100 EUR at this time I assure you. Also it is not given that ebay prices are higher than amibay prices. It really depends on how the listing is made and how people are looking for that device at that time.

Oh wow I like that ALOT! Shame I don't have the cash (as always with me). I think it's a neat expansion for anyone who has a warrenty seal on an A500/+ in which case it's ideal, even if it chokes the 030's speed a bit.

Hardly junk. 32Mbytes is more than any average 030 Amiga owner will ever need. And 1/2 the price of a MKIV

I am sure given time I could find one, there are lots at €110, I only listed two ;-)

Ebay auctions always benefit from "bidding fever" where people bid too much. Just because they have time invested in bidding. Find an Amiga owner who likes you, has more Amiga stuff than his wife will allow him, convince them you'll take good care of it, woo them into thinking it's going to a good home and you can get much better prices.

Er, the Amiga was in dire straights back in 1994. Since then, theres been a lot of sh1t running down the remains of it`s arse-crack. Don`t expect that sh1t to dry up too soon. It`ll dribble on a lot longer than Micro$hafts vommit could ever imagine.  :-D

@ alexh

Makes a 40Mhz 040 Warp engine worth every penny of £175 dont it.  ;-)

Not really m8y. The 40Mhz Warp Engine card simply annihalates this card & I was questioned earlier about it`s value. 060 cards are around £250-£300.....

Heh eh!  :-D

Over recent weeks Amiga machines and components haven't been getting the same money they were previously. I think the time of year and the credit crunch is starting to come into play here. Help the economy, pay more for stuff you tight lot!
