No Doctor Who fans, Davros is about to destroy reality, the Earth has been moved to 1 second out of time near the Medusa Cascade.  Daleks have Rose, Jack and Sarah Jane captive, TOrchwood Cardiff is about to be invaded, and the who answer lies in the Irdium project and the osterhagen key and no one cares!?!?!?!?

I might care if it was real.

Ok Martha didn't use it to destroy the Earth, the three doctors (original, new and estra crispy (Doctor Donna)) destroyed the Dalek fleet with technolbable.  It was a good series finale, on a par with the original series..

I wasn't too impressed with the rubber Dalek head-honcho.

The finale was brilliant. They left Davros pretty much as always has been, which is fine. The Daleks are still scary ;-)

@persia
You really need to learn how to put warnings before spoilers  It's *extremely* annoying to read what is about to happen before you have watched it!

Davros is the half Dalek, half human thingy, isn't it? I meant the blob-on-the-wall. But Davros was pretty rubbery too =).

I'm getting disappointed with Doctor Who lately. The finale seemed anticlimactic.

As per Moto's request, SPOILER ALERT. Read no further.

Okay, then.

Yes, anticlimactic despite the whole of reality being at stake. The stage seemed too busy, with too much going on, with too much character chaos. Other than being able to say, "Hey, look! All the principal characters are back at once!" there was really no point to having them. No point to seeing the Torchwood gang, no point to seeing Jackie and Mickey, even, dare I say it, no point to Rose. With so much happening, it's like no one character actually did anything - all the action was diffused between them, resulting in nullification of everything interesting about their actions.

The revelation and resolution of the Dalek/Davros doublecross over the course of about 2 seconds mitigated any sort of dramatic effect it would have had.

Donna's fate, arguably tragic, is also arguably an example of the cop-out "reset button" plot device.

The last four episodes were all really dull to me. Not coincidentally, they were all written by R.T. Davies, who I think has burned himself out. Steven Moffat is supposedly taking over as executive producer soon-ish, and I expect he'll turn things around for me. With every episode of his that I see, I always say to myself, "Why isn't he in charge?" At last, he will be - he seems to be a brilliant story-teller.

I fully agree :-)

Caan of course was the real hero, manipulating time to get the Doctor there to stop Davros.  Why did the doctor offer to save Davros instead of Caan?

Talking about there being so many characters there, there was one that I noticed wasn't there - The Doctor's Daughter. I wonder if (When) we'll see her again? :-D

Given that she's currently dating Tennant it could lead to some interesting interactions between them..

Hadn't noticed that bit

Since she's also a real-life daugher of a previous Timelord...hmmm...I wonder what new fangled rift generator the real-life Torchwood has been tinkering with now?

A plot point right out of a South American soap opera! Let's think up some more! Captain Jack gets pregnant! Martha's fiance is actually Mickey! The "real" Doctor is actually the one who stayed with Rose! K-9 has puppies! CGI Gophers!

Thank goodness Davros didn't split into three also, say with Caan, so there'd be an original Davros, a Cann Davros and a Dalek Davros!
