Well, I've done it. Managed to install Amiga UNIX v2.1 (and the patch disk!) using the HD install method explained in the Amix Wiki.
But somehow I can't get my A2410 working... During post install it asks if you have an A2024 I answer NO. Then it asks for a GFX board, I answer YES, I get a selection of several cards (hey! Amix standard already supports more than one!) and I select A2410.
All seems well, but when I start X (either Xinit or olinit) all I get is X on my standard VGA port, not on the A2410.... What else do I need to do to get this baby running?
(wow, and I haven't even tried my A2065 yet)

I don't have the A2410 as I could never locate one. I did write a guide on how to get the Picasso II working with Amix. It is on the AmigaUnix page. Perhaps something there will be of help. There is LOTS of information on that site.

He is providing the hosting for amigaunix.com ;-)
I decided to take a stroll down memory lane and checked out the comp.unix.amiga archives. It looks like it *might* be as simple as:
# olinit -- tiga
Surely it's not that simple. But then again...maybe it is? Referenced this thread (http://groups.google.com/group/comp.unix.amiga/browse_thread/thread/3e71c2b1caa89f18/ff36d054d6b0b61c?lnk=gst&q=A2410#).

Fantastic!! That was it! Full command I use now is:
# olinit -- -tiga -tm 3
That gives me a full color 800x600 screen. No need for me to use 1950_kludge as I have no visible flicker.
Wowie! I'm a happy camper! Now I only need to find out how to set a JPG background (or GIF or whatever) on OL.... :-)

That's awesome. I'm still thinking of going the Picasso II route, mainly because like Jeff I can't find an A2410 for sale. Great work assembling a bone stock system. Do you have a tape drive for it...? *edit* I see you do have it. Double-plus awesome!
Maybe you should do a classic screenshot like this one (http://www.amiga.org/gallery/index.php?n=2225) :-D
