Title: FA: MIB - Wordperfect 4.1 for the Commodore Amiga
Post by: Nlandas on June 28, 2008, 07:30:32 PM
New and still sealed in the factory shrink wrap. I can't test it because I don't want to open it.

Even though it is unopened please keep in mind it's age and that it's on 3 1/2" floppies when ordering. I am selling this AS IS.

MIB - Amiga Wordpefect 4.1 (http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZtoohuge)

I still have it. It's a very different User Interface as I recall. The manual is quite large like you find with the older versions of many products. Should be fun for someone to play with after all of these years. I never did do any serious work with mine.

Good Luck,
-Jeff

I have to say it's been neat owning a copy of Wordperfect for Amiga. I remember thinking how cool it would have been to have a copy back in the day but I couldn't afford it. I can now say that I had a copy of it.

It's only at $10 so far which is certainly a lot less than it retailed for. :-D  Of course one never knows with Vintage items what it will go for.

The wife is making me clean house so keep an eye on my account as I'll be adding a few more Amiga items and some older Commodore 64 stuff like classic games and an Excellerator Plus disk drive.

I used WP4.2 for the Amiga well into college.  At the point that we were required to exchange documents with instructors in Microsoft Word format, my trusty companion became obsolete.

An Amiga, WordPerfect, and an HP DeskJet 500 can take you a long way.  Just about as far as a C128D, geoWriter, and an MPS-1200 took me.  Probably about as far as this guy's Pentium 233MMX with Windows 98, some old Word meant for 3.1, and his HP DeskJet (I tell him I can't believe his machine is still alive; he reciprocates the surprise :-D)

WordPerfect 4.2 for Amiga and 5.0 for MSDos were my favourite word processors. I loved the 'reveal codes' option so that you could see the reason why text was laid out the way it was - if only Word had this feature.
