Maybe a faulty reset button or cable?

Not sure what could cause this. Try replacing the battery on the motherboard.

In the documentation for the OS4 WarpOS wrapper, you'll see that it says only well-written, system-friendly stuff will work. Wipeout isn't. It's hard-coded for some sort of hardware banging. There's a workaround for MorphOS, but not OS4.

I have no idea. What AmigaONEs shipped with that CPU? Is it an SE model? It sounds like the system is working, however, so I'd suggest not messing with it.

You should have received all the necessary documentation with your Amigaone. Do you have the user manual (it should be on the Linux Boot CD that came with the board)? It it an A1-XE, or a micro A1?
Some extra information can be found on intuitionbase (http://intuitionbase.com/). BTW, if you had the power jumpers set wrong, you would probably already have fried your CPU, or the machine would be unusable. The exact settings depend on which CPU you have.
VCore settings are mentioned in section 3 on this page (http://intuitionbase.com/static.php?section=notes).
BTW, be careful, J17 and JP17 are two different things. I hope that you meant JP18 for the reset button. If not, you connected to the wrong thing. If you did connect to JP18, you may have a faulty cable, or a faulty reset switch.

Um, I play Wipeout just fine on my A1 using the WarpOS wrapper. The only bit that doesn't work is the mpeg movies, and it also crashes on exit. The documentation that comes with it tells you what settings you should use for various games.

reset button works there is no cable problem, I got this amiga one second hand it has no user-manual, previous tower reset button worked well
I have lots of problem with os4, most external programs crashes I tried diffrent ram, no change
also I could not f,nd suitable screen resolution for my LCD TV, I added 1024x768 to voodoo icon info, workbench does not recognised this resolution in screen prefs

How do you know? Have you tested this with a multi-meter?

PM me your email address and I'll send you a copy of the user manual. You're supposed to have it.

You'll need to be more specific with your problems, and your system. Which Amiga one do you have? Photos of the boards are on intuitionbase (http://intuitionbase.com/static.php?section=a1intro) if you're not sure. Which CPU (see here for more (http://intuitionbase.com/static.php?section=cpumod))? What cards do you have in the system?
I'm not sure that TV out is supported on any of the graphics card drivers at present. I know that it's definitely not supported in the Radeon driver that I'm using. Unless the TV has a VGA input, you probably won't be able to use it. Also, the Voodoo driver won't let you define screenmodes outside the allowable range. What refresh rate did you specify?
Which software crashes and when? The A1 is known to have trouble with some cheap power supplies. Try not to get a power supply that is too big, you don't need a 300W+ supply.
Finally, there are very few Amiga OS 4 users here on Amiga.org. You're much more likely to get help if you ask on amigaworld.net (http://amigaworld.net/) or amigans.net (http://www.amigans.net/modules/news/).

Sorry, I have the user manual for the XE, not the SE. The SE was the precursor to the XE, and has more issues. My advice would be to ask on amigaworld.net and specify that you have an SE. Hopefully someone will have the right documentation and/or knowledge to help you.
I could still send you the XE manual, but it would be next to useless as I doubt that the jumper numbers match up.
Regarding Wipeout, did you install WarpOS? Or the WarpOS wrapper for OS4 (http://www.os4depot.net/index.php?function=showfile&file=library/misc/warposemu.lha)? If you installed WarpOS, uninstall it immediately as it won't work. Instead, download the WarpOS wrapper for OS4 (http://www.os4depot.net/index.php?function=showfile&file=library/misc/warposemu.lha) and install that. Look at the documentation; it has instructions on which settings are best for Wipeout.

It crashes when? Right after you double-click on Wipeout? After you click run on the Wipeout configuration window? Have you tried running some other WarpOS program? Did you read the WarpOS wrapper manual?

@ ozkano
As Hans_ said, you need to give us some more details so we can help you out. Do you have all the latest OS4 updates installed? Most recent is from July of last year: Kickstart 52.8, Workbench 52.1.

Interesting. Since it didn't work on MorphOS I assumed it didn't work on OS4 either (especially since I've found MOS to have better backwards compatibility). Nice to know.

@ozkano
So, any progress? Have you managed to sort any of the issues out yet?
