EasyNet (http://easynet.amigakit.com) has been updated:
- VNC Support
Now you can view and control other computers remotely from your Amiga Workbench
Example screengrab of Workbench / Windows XP here: http://shop.amigakit.com/images/easynet-vnc-screen.jpg
Update will be available through Live Update on Saturday

VNC Support? That's great news. Thanks for updating EasyNet so often with nice features. Keep up...

Nice feature to offer newbies. I've been singing the praises of VNC for the Amiga for ages. Especially if you have an RTG gfx card.
Which Amiga VNC viewer are you using?
VVA (http://dspach.free.fr/amiga/vva/index.html)?
TwinVNC (http://twinvnc.free.fr/index.php?menu=01〈=eng)??

Sounds cool; I love VNC. Is EasyNet offered as a standalone product? I already have a network card for my A1200, and I don't see it listed on your site under software.
-
EasyNet is available standalone here:

Cool; I figured it was there somewhere, just couldn't find it! :)
-
No problem.

The forthcoming next update of EasyNet (http://easynet.amigakit.com) is nearly finished- but it looks likely it will be on the Live Update server tomorrow due to a request to add support for an Italian ISP (Alice.it)
If any users want another unsupported ISP added, please suggest it.
-
Happy to announce that EasyNet 0.169 is now finished, uploaded and is available to all EasyNet users from the Live Update server. New updated documentation file will available tomorrow.

Does it go the other direction? That is, can I control workbench from a vnc client running on xp for example?

If not, there are free VNC servers for the Amiga.

Of course it only works in workbench and with OS legal applications.
I tend to use two monitors, switch off video sending in VNC and use it to just send the mouse & keyboard information from the Amiga to the PC. Then I can have one keyboard, one mouse. Ensures compatibility for games on the Amiga this way round.
Anyone tried an Amiga X11 server? I wonder if you could open a web-browser remotely on a linux box with this?

Yes. Yes.
Or at least you could. It seems something in X changed couple of years ago and Xami no longer wants to connect.
