Title: EasyADF Piracy
Post by: amigakit on June 10, 2008, 08:56:14 PM
We have been developing EasyADF steadily over the last four years and we exclusively distribute this software with printed manual and setup program (ADAPCMCFL-boot).

It is with regret that we have had reports that EasyADF (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=440), has been, and currently is being offered from unlicensed sources.  We are taking action to protect our intellectual property.

A request to the Amiga Community:
If you have received pirated EasyADF software, please send it to us with details on where and from whom you obtained it and we will replace it with fully licensed EasyADF software free of charge.

All licensed users of EasyADF will have free updates for the package as and when they are released.

Come on people, don't pirate this product.  We have to support the few remaining Amiga developers/dealers and not rip them off.

This is not intended for anyone in particular, just for everybody.  Don't pirate from active developers, or anyone else for that matter.

I have the original disk, I bought it second hand with transfer card and a A1200.
I know that the guy I bought it from bought the transfer kit from AmigaKit :-)
Any way that I can get updates for this?

Is EasyADF a free product to begin with, but is sometimes distributed with some hardwares?

EasyADF is a superb piece of software and considering it only costs £5.99 or £9.99 with a card reader it's hardly going to break the bank so I fully support the stance taken by Amigakit against the perpetrators of this piracy.

Would they work for four years without any rewards ??

That's really sad indeed. They are people pirating Amiga software, when the original is less than 10 euros? Hahaha, how "gypsy" they are. Anyway, I have also my original copy, it came together with a 40GB 2.5" HD for my A1200 from AmigaKit.

Good luck too! But that's a really shame for someone to distributing pirated copies of any Amiga-software.

This is sad indeed. On the bright side, pirates indicate that there is still a market left to make money on at least.

Amigakit.com is a trustworthy Amiga dealer and we all should support them on their fight against piracy :destroy:
