Does anybody know how to use the LHA extract unitility? I am attempting to open an LHA file, but I don't seem to be doing it correctly. Does anybody know the command to open a file. Thanks.

At the CLI-prompt write:
Lha x
For example:
Lha x Myfile.lha RAM:

Ok, here is my situation: I have a file called "executiv.lha" on my DH1: partition. I assume that I open the command prompt window and type "Lha x executiv.lha dh1:" Is this the correct way to type it out, because it isn't working. Thanks

At the prompt write:
> DH1:
to make sure that you will be there (in this partition you have the lha file)
> LhA x executiv.lha DH1:
Note that if you have the lha file in a subdirectory, you must go there too.

I assume that I open the command prompt window and type "Lha x executiv.lha dh1:"
That is, as long as you have a program called "Lha" to run. Maybe it's called Lharc or something else. And, you gotta have the unarchiver program in your path somewhere if it's not in the current directory. Maybe there's a help function if you do like "lha -h" or even just "lha" (or whatever it's called) by itself without any arguments.
It's fun to learn Amiga! :-D

Thanks PHantom, it's working good now. For the first time I installed an Amiga program without any problems.

Hi Barney,
I use DFace see Aminet
http://aminet.net/search?query=DFace111
DFace111.lha 1.11 util/arc 106 69K 1996-07-15 GUI to depack LHA,LZH,ZIP,DMS,RAR,ARJ,RUN
You will need the files "lha" "lzx" etc in your "C" Drawer, these are also found in Aminet.
Kind Regards, Michael
