Title: DCE scandoubler capacitor problems
Post by: pontium on May 29, 2008, 01:02:25 PM
Hi all,

I got a dce scandoubler(phase5)and I can't find anyware information about the capacitors capacity over the header.Well, from the begining one of the three caps was missing,I place a micro one with a little different on colour but on monitor I see everything orange.

Has anyone the same scandoubler or a service manual to help me??

Here,a photo of the capacitors location:

Could be 1000pF. What have you used for now? 100nF?

Is that a CV64 scandoubler?

I will take a look at mine when I get home, if there is any info I can pass along I will do so.

OK, looks like there are 3 groups of 3 which are "probably" the same (parallel with each other, as seen in your pic). Yours appear to be a green color, mine are a kind of purple/brown. AFAIK there is no standardized color code for SMT caps... worst case, maybe you can carefully de-solder one and measure the value.
