Title: A1200 - PCMCIA and Memory expansion cards
Post by: NovaCoder on May 29, 2008, 12:37:26 AM

I'm currently having a few issues with getting PCMCIA devices to work on my 1200 (see my other thread).  One of things the driver disk warned me about was that some ‘accelerators’ above 4mb can interfere with the PCMCIA slot…is that true?

I’m currently using an 8mb memory card and I’ve got a Blizzard 1230 Mk-IV coming with 16mb installed.

I’m running WB 3.1.

If this is an issue, will affect both of my cards?  Is there a software patch to fix it?

Thanks  :-D

Take out the 8MB memory card and leave the Blizzard of course. Memory expansion cards cause problems when you are willing to use the PCMCIA slot on A1200.

8MB memory expansion: yes.
Blizzard 1230-IV: no.

No, it's a HW problem.
