I may be having a blonde moment here, but I can't seem to find any tool which will tell me what revision firmware I have on my Prometheus.
There is info on the Matay page about revision 40/27 being the original, and 50/27 the new revision of hte firmware, but I can't seem to find any info on how you get this information.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Rich

It doesn't matter which one it is. No prometheus firmware works with fake-DMA (with the exception of Michael Boehmer's unreleased updated firmware).
So relax and wait until Michael Boehmer decides to release his update :-)

Ah, thanks for the info Crumb.

@Boot_WB, It should be a label on the card saying 40/27 or 50/27. I guess it´s lost on your card.
Hi Crumb, long time no see. :-D

@Crusher
:-)
so much time and we are still waiting for the latest firmware... :-D

Ahhh, Crusher! I was going to get in touch with you.
When I try to use my Voodoo5 with the Prometheus I get graphical corruption.
I notice you have this config, and I was hoping that you could post your software setup for me - file versions, tooltypes for prometheus monitor file, and Picasso96 settings.
If you could find the time, it would be a great help.
Regards
Rich
PS - Thanks for the info, I'll see if I have a sticker on mine.

I had contacted Michael in January and he was pretty busy, yet he took the time to give some detailed answers. As it seems, we'll have to wait a bit longer for the updated firmware, but it looked like it would become available at some time.
The cards will have to be sent to Michael since it requires additional hardware to change the firmware.

@Boot_WB, no problem besides one. It´ll take some days before I can check everything, have alot to do this week. Hope it´s ok? :-)
@Zac67, sounds great. :-)

Then there is no problem :-) Thanks for taking the time,

Hearing that the update may still happen is great news. It's still cool to use with a voodoo3 and ethernet card but would be so much better if dma actually worked.

We had talked about this on the dev list and I said I could help do board updates. (maybe those in the US and Canada) We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Prometheus rocks!!
I'm soon to find out. Hopefully I won't be disappointed :)

Finally I have time to spend on my Amiga.
Sorry for the delay, work got in the way. :-D
Anyway, P96 is the one that was delivered with the Prometheus. Nothing special there, I just installed it and config my own monitorsettings manually. Just start with 1024x768x24 @ 60Hz. Every monitor should manage that.
Libs and stuff I got from the supportsite, too bad it´s offline now. Perhaps redrumloa could help you with that?
"Picasso96API.library" ver. 2.300.
"Prometheus.library" says nothing, but it should be 2.5.
"3dfxVoodoo.chip" says nothing.
"Prometheus.card" says nothing.
"Prometheus" monitorfile ver. 40.42.
What more would you like to know?
