Hi everyone, got another question. I just installed ASIMCDFS on my A3000. After bootup, rather than displaying the CDROM icon, it has an icon that says "CD0:NDOS". I was able so successfully install ASIMCDFS in the past, so this is very bizarre. Anybody have any idea what might be going on here. Thanks.

Maybe an error in your mountlist (or CD0: device info -- whatever you're using to mount the CD0: device from...)?
Could be looking to the wrong SCSI.device or ID?
At the very least, the data for the mount is a good place to start looking from. It's mounting SOMETHING, but what? ;-)

AsimCDFS looks for your device when you install the software.
click on the correct icons/device name when installing.
use **scsidevice** if its a IDE amiga internal.( check jumpers on back of CD rom master or slave ).

scsi.device for the internal IDE port? Not atapi.device? I can't get scsi.device to work with any CD/DVD drive.

It's asim_atapi.device.

on a A1200 it shows up as scsi.device ( if i remember correctly ) for IDE.
not sure of A3000 but it should see your drive when you install the software, but you have to direct the software in the right direction when installing.
i think the problem may be the link on the back of the CD rom drive.

Thaks for the input guys. The funny thing is that it worked fine when I was using OS2.1, but when I upgraded the softboot and installed OS3.1, it wouldn't work. ASimCDFS installed correctly, found the drive correctly, and I used id 3 like I always used. But with OS 3.1 installed this problem suddendly occurred. I think it may be caused by the new softboot 3.1 I am using. I am definately going to go ahead and install the 3.1 ROMS. THanks everybody.
