Title: Disk to work with PC and Amiga
Post by: Rowbeartoe on May 25, 2008, 04:34:26 AM
Hello everyone, how can I get a floppy disk to work with both the Amiga and a PC with XP?  On the PC all I need to do is format for 720k and it works with my ST as well.  IF I can get this to work, then I should be able to put some demos on my first Amiga.  I have the newtek demos, and juggler.  =)

Thank you.

I believe you're looking for the command:-

Format A: /t:80 /n:9

On ther Amiga you double click on an icon called PC0 which is usually found in Workbench:Storage/DOSDrivers

Rowbeartoe: IF you can, I think formatting a disk on the Amiga is easier, that's how I used to do it. Also, when copying files  to floppy on your XP machine, be aware that disks WILL fail after a fairly short time, I think it's something to do with XP disk caching, or something...
