...and the Devs drawer:
why the items inside this drawer are not run on startup?
With AOS 3.1 if I put PC0 DosDriver into the Devs/Dosdrivers drawer it will be automatically run on startup.
Can someone make some light on this issue?
Thank you very much

Not on mine: if I put a PC floppy into the diskdrive it doesn't appear on the desktop. I can see only the amiga floppy icon (the unreadable one of course).
But as soon as I doubleclick the PC0 icon then the PC floppy/crossdos magically appears.
But I think it's supposed to appear automatically, isn't it?

P.S.
same thing for CD-ROM

Make sure this line (or similar) is in your startup-sequence:
C:Mount QUIET DEVS:DOSDrivers/~(#?.info)

Thank you, I'll check this immediately.

Ok there are no lines like the one posted by Matt_H.
But there is something like this:
C:Mount >NIL: DEVS:DOSDrivers/~(#?.info)

thats same, so its probably mounted.
are you using 720kb formatted DD diskette? it will not read standard 1.44mb HD disks
-
Also, open a shell and type "info". It should tell you what devices are mounted.

Ok done: nothing happens. OS 3.9 goes straight to the end without error messages (I mean I can't see any).
I forgot to mention my hardware, it can be helpful:
Amiga 4000/040 Desktop with 4MB Fast ram (soon will become 16MB), CyberVision 64 4MB.
So the floppy disk unit is a High Density 1.76 MB which I think is capable to read 1.44 PC format too.

I've opened the shell and typed "info".
The CD-ROM is mounted and works fine but PC0: is not mounted.
So I've typed "Mount PC0:" and the PC formatted floppy appeared on the desktop.
I think I'm going to add "Mount PC0:" into the startup-sequence, what do you think?

OK guys, solved!!
For some unknown reason copying PC0 from storage/dosdrivers to devs/dosdrivers using AOS GUI did not copy the .info file.
So I've opened DirectoryOpus and copyed it by hand.
After restarting the system everything gone ok :-D
Thank you for all your precious suggestions and I beg your pardon for having made you waste your time behind this stupid issue.
Thank you everybody
