Post by: Xanaa on May 21, 2008, 10:54:31 AM
Hi,

I need a schematic of how to make this cable 9 pin to 15 pin video cable.  I did not have any luck using gender changer.
Thanks,
Xanaa

What's it for?

A simple rewiring probably wont work... 9-pin cables are for 15KHz and 15-pin cables are (usually) for 31KHz.

9-pin connector pinout (http://pinouts.ru/Video/C1084dd_pinout.shtml)
15-pin connector pinout (http://pinouts.ru/Video/VGA15_pinout.shtml)

You'd be better off buying a 23-pin to 15-pin adapter off ebay.

The output of my ICD Flicker Free Video is 9 pin 31khz VGA. The unit shipped with a standard 9 to 15 pin converter. I believe I have seen the pinout for it in back of the manual. I'll post it later if you can't find it somewhere online.

Not sure why Alex posted the 1084D connector, but if it's just for a VGA 9-pin to VGA 15-pin, you can find both pinouts on the link that Lou posted, or check here is the actual cable scheme.
