Hi! Im pretty sure this has been asked before, but please, if any of you have/know of any NEC Multisync monitor which can handle ALL Amiga resolutions, please let me know!!!
If possible, provide me exact model please!!
Kind Regards
Sebastian

The NEC 3D and 3Ds both are. These are the most common ones.
There are also some others...
I also have an old NEC 1, which appears to be electronically identical to the C= 1950. I really should get some photos of it up. I've never seen another one... It might be really rare. I think there may be one or two more models, as well.

Thanks por the info.
I have a chance of getting this models, but want to make sure if they are "Amiga compatible" since i cant find any info on the net:
- Nec Multisync XV14
- Nec Multisync V500
- Nec Multisync V720
- Nec Multisync 2V
- Nec Multisync E1100
What do you think??

I know some Mitsubitshi (spelling?) monitors also was able to handle all amiga screen modes. I think it was 13" or 14" monitor. I'm don't remember which model it was though so not much help there though :/

- Nec Multisync XV14
- Nec Multisync V500
- Nec Multisync V720
- Nec Multisync 2V
- Nec Multisync E1100
I don't think so. Unless you specifically find information that the monitor supports 15khz or CGA/EGA/VGA, I don't think it'll do the NTSC/PAL modes.
[edit] - none of those seem to. A good place to look for that information is an X Windows monitor timings file. You need a 15khz Horizontal Sync as the low end of the acceptable range. Check out the frequency range for a NEC-3D vs any of the above...

Hate to point this out, but this list is not 100% correct! Look at the NEC 3D to prove this point.
3D's AND 3DS's sync to 15.8 KHz.
So - which ones do you believe?

I know that the NEC2a and NEC3D are not on your list of monitors you have available, but the link provided that shows the specifications of each NEC monitor is not accurate for those two monitors, and perhaps for others as well. Both the 2a and 3d NEC monitors CAN display all Amiga resolutions up to 800x600 as they have a 15kHz to 31kHz, or above display capability. I own both monitors and have used them in the past and present on all my Amigas. I think they are actually a sort of dual sync monitor instead of a true multisync, but they are great for single monitor solutions for Amigas with graphic cards that pass through native 15kHz screens, but do not have a scan doubler, as the monitor will just switch automatically and show those screens and switch right back to your 31kHz and above graphic card screen. Only drawback is that their screen size is too small for todays expectations.
So, the purpose of my long messeage is, the specs for other NEC monitors on that link may also be incorrect by not showing that the monitor will sync down to 15kHz. Look for another location with more precise specs before you give up on a particular monitor in your list.
Hope this helped.

Thank you very very much for all your answers!

urm... I used to have a Nec 3D, and can state for a fact it did not do the PAL/NTSC modes.... used it on A2000 with my A2320 scan doubles perfectly ... bog standard A2000 not at all
right now... I use a flat screem that can not only handle standard, A2320, and even C64/3D modes :-)
Its a Sun branded second gen... also same good pic on a Sumsung 226

Hmm... Maybe you had a defective one? I have one and I can say for a fact mine does NTSC/PAL. There's even a picture of mine somewhere in the photo gallery with a 15khz NTSC kickstart screen displayed on it.

@Ilwrath, Shhhhhh, don't tell my 2 NEC3Ds that they are not supposed to work at 15kHz modes. They have been doing so for the past 10+ years I have owned them. In fact, I am willing to sell one of them that has a slightly crooked swivel base, but is tested and was used just recently with my A1200/060. So you may want to back off on that "state for a fact" stuff. Your memory may be getting like mine and ain't what it used to be, OR your particular 3D just was not working properly. I am sure mine work, and I am pretty sure I can find specs on the Net to back up that they sync to 15kHz, but don't have the time right now.
Edit: The "Crack" sound I get from them sometimes when they make the switch from 31kHz down to 15kHz, or back will wake you up if you are not ready for it. It is kind of scary, like you don't know if the monitor is going to blow up or what, but they do work, I assure you.

I have used an NEC3D with my 1200 since 1993, but of late the monitor seems to have lost its ability to go down to 15. Does that sound like something that can happen with age?
I plan to replace the NEC when I can get a scandoubler for my 1200 -- surely when the new one from Individual Computers is out.

Hi there,
I've used the original NEC Mulyisync (Model: APC H4311)
and Multisync II (Model: JC-1402HMR) on my Amigas with no probs. Both will display all modes, including AGA ones.
As an aside I've also used the same monitors with the following old stuff:
Oric-1
Oric Atmos
Spectrum +2
Spectrum +3
SAM Coupe
Commodore 128
TRS-80 (a few different ones)
I'm actually wanting to sell my NEC MS and MS II monitors if anyone in Australia is interested!
Cheers,
Mike.

You need to re-read my post!
I was correcting Nostalgiac who said his did not go to 15khz. There's a picture of mine in 15khz in the gallery!
