l have idea the cpu is broken but even if the card was broken shouldint it try and work first of the new card
also does anyone know email adress to contact amiga france or know of good amiga repair biz or person.
many thanks

Hi.
You can try to enter the early startup meny.
Hold both mouse buttons down when booting.
And see if the amiga detects the card.
Just google amiga repair france.
Have a nice day.

sorry to hear you are having problems. could i ask for some details as to whats not working, and what you have tested so far?
from what i can figure out, you've bought an A2060 ArcNet card. you've plugged it into your A2000, and it boots like normal? and you think the CPU is broken? sorry, i'm not following.
you do know that ArcNet is different from ethernet, right?
thanks,

Is this about the 2060 network card or 2060 accelerator card?
-
that would make more sence.... :-)
if thats the case, i hope there is a 3.1rom in there, as IIRC the 1.3 kickstart couldn't handle setpatching an 040, let alone an 060...
-
And the first versions of A2000 had problems to handle Blizzard 2060 ("German" A2000; rev. 3.9; probably pre4.5 in some cases?).
-
@zipper
He have a A2000CR model. Cost reduse, so.. not a A2000A model I belive. CR was some of the last produced A2000 from commodore.
I asume it was a axx 060 board.hehe but sure, It can be a network card..But I would not even use the shipping cost too france for reparing a network card :) (that's me)
But as other say's here.. more info please? model number, manufacture and so.
If the amiga detect the card..(early startup menu)he can se the status.. faulty or working.. (I asume faulty).
But, he will se if the card is comunicate with the zorro II bus.

thanks for helping l should have but the full details
its a dce made blizzard 2060 cpu card with onboard scsi
l am trying to get it going on a amiga 2000 with 2.0 roms
l am going try adding a 3.1 rom .
:-)
-
Upgrading to 3.1 could well be the key!
-
thats awsome yes been reading the manuall hehe
yes thanks will do that know
-
Sorry to say I didn't have any problems running Blizz2060 on KS 2.05 on my A500T - just for testing, having 3.1 as well.
-

well l read where u can make this card work in a amiga 500 that has l forget but it can be done hehe
speaking of which l brought a 3.1 rom of ebay and when hold down the mouse buttons l get werid kinda hand drawn screen
what gives has someone just made up these ?
says AmigaDos on 6800
AmigaDos on 020
AMIX
l assume maybe this is the 020 commodore card but usually us can see boot from startup seqwence etc and to disable or see what cards are there . am confussed
l have no idea weather this 3.1 rom is at faulty or the 2060 blizzard card is broken.
when l click or either the first two it just flickers on the
red power led and crashs then boots to hd.
also if l take out the 020 card it wont boot at all even though the 6800 cpu is still on the mb does this mean the cpu is broken.
many thanks

Hi,
if you plain to resell this 2060 card, PM me.
Take all cards out
Just leave the mobo alone without floppy and keyboard connected, but with mouse.
Try to unplug and replug the internal PSU connector, and try to clean every socketed chips and theirs socket with an electrical spray cleaner.
Look under the mobo if you have some track broken.
Then retry to enter in the early.
For me the PSU can be faulty too. Try to read its levels.
