I have been occassionally getting a mulitiuser fatal error. "you must have at least one partition with multiuser file system". Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I am running os 3.9 on a 3000T.

Back up all your files to another HD as your current HD may be getting ready to die.
You didn't say if your HD has more than one partition or not, what size is it and how many partitions do you have (with their sizes shown too)?

Do you have "mufs" (= Multi User File System) installed or was it installed at some point in time?

Dandy... All drives are FFS. I have never installed mufs. I was wondering if it could be something in amitcp because I started noticing it after I installed easynet/genesis/miamidx trying to get a internet connection. I am currently using genesis. I don't get the error all the time. It only happens randomly so I am stumped as to what could cause it.

This message can only appear if you have multiuser.library installed, and some app tries to open it. If the library can't find any muFS partitions it spews out this message.
Remove the library and you should no longer get it.

Piru,
I will give that a try when I get home tonight..

That was exactly what I was aiming at...
