Damn $50 so far!! Impressive...
-
too bad it was some zero feedback type doing the old creep-up bidding thing.
-
Well, to be fair, he does have 16 positive feedbacks. I'm just worried that it seems to be a bidding war between Greece and Cyprus. Don't those two places have enough tension as it is?
Still, $50 after two days is pretty encouraging.

@DocSane:
Well, actually, you're quite WRONG! There's no tension between Greece and Cyprus (and never was). The tension is between Greece (and Cyprus) and Turkey.

Ah! Thank you. Now I feel foolish.
It still means that whomever wins the Amiga 500 will have to pay a lot of extra money for shipping there. Still, I warned them. I'm amazed such a basic machine would attract such interest this early on.

Wow, now the bidding is up to $76, with over 3 days left in the auction. Does anyone know why a Greek or a Cypriot would want an NTSC A500 with a 110 V power supply this badly? Are the machines really in such short supply over there? Or is this an effect of the dollar/Euro exchange rate?

Just for information, I know Doc Sane very well from a Sci Fi board that we both post in. I've also bought an Emplant card from him and I screwed up and paid him double. I immediately sent him an email explaining my mistake and 5 minutes later he credited the difference back to me.
He's one of the good guys. :-)

Thanks, Darrin.
By the way, I mailed the Emplant out today. It should hopefully get to your home in a couple of days.
