Title: Replace space bar A4000 keyboard
Post by: Feroz on May 04, 2008, 04:52:55 PM
My space bar is yellowed and my aim is to replace it with another one in mint condition.
How can I remove it without making any kind of damage?
Does exist a guide "how to..."? Thanks in advance

I'd get some white spray-paint and put newspaper all over your keyboard but making sure it tucks under the spacebar rather then removing it completely.

Removing the space bar is very easy. Just gently pull it up until the connector gets loose; it's a simple plug in connector with a plastic spring. Don't use too much force because the space bar is also connected by a metal clip on both sides. Once the middle connector is loose you can easily remove the metal clips.
