I just picked up a 2nd nicely outfitted A2000.
It has a Fusion Forty card, Video Toaster 4000, DPS Personal Component Video Adapter, A2091 card w/SCSI HD and over 32 MB Ram total for the system.
It came from the original owner and is so clean that I'm almost afraid to use it.
I've already got a set of upgrade roms on the way. Once they are in I'll swap the original 50MB HD for a larger one and install OS 3.1 .
I've got a three day weekend coming up, so I should have plenty of tinker time for it.

Remove the battery ASAP or change it for a lithium battery hack (findable at Aminet! (http://aminet.net/docs/hard/LithBatt.lha)).
Check for battery leakage, too!

Indeed, I recently picked up a nice A2K myself, and the original battery had *just* started to frost. Fortunately, nothing had yet hit the motherboard.
Congratulations on your new toy, BTW. :D

Already have the parts for battery replacement on the way.
Question though, how durable are the A2000 boards? In other words, I have a working machine right now, but am I likely to have problems from removing all of the internals, pulling the board and then doing the solder work.
These things are now about 20 years old and I'm afraid I might damage something just handling the boards.

Shouldn't be a problem, they're pretty tough (big thick PCB with though-hole components). I had no issues desoldering the battery, carefully removing various chips, etc. The Agnus socket is "known" to get brittle with age and possibly crack while removing the chip, though mine came out just fine with a PLCC puller. (Actually, never had an Agnus socket crack, thankfully.)
As far as the other boards, just be gentle and you'll be fine. :)

How about some pictures?
I love A2000s :-D

A2000s are cool... :-)

beware with forty fusion !! It's different from any other turbo card !

Thats a very nice system you have there.
Don't worry overtly about the boards they are pretty robust and should survive normal handling.
Pictures are always nice too :-D

Get in touch with Eslapion. I think he has permission to burn new copies of the latest ROM for the Fusion Forty board. This will improve compatibility with newer hardware & Workbench ROMs, if I recall correctly.

TJLazers page on the Fusion Forty is a must see. He also has permission to burn the latest ROMs.

Nice Find! I would like to see some pictures of it.
