Hi,
I'm trying to install the Origyn Web Browser for 68k on Amiga Forever... I've installed the ixemul and ixnet latest versions and also got the etc: folder, which is in the OWB folder...
When I try and load OWB from the CLI all that happens is that a popup comes up saying "Please insert volume AmiTCP in any drive"... And if I press cancel the text "FPU Required!" is printed in the CLI window, even though I have the WinUAE set to emulate an 020 and FPU and also i'm using the ixemul version for 020 and FPU's! (020 is the most stable CPU to emulate... you probably know that allready)
So, what am I doing wrong? Or can OWB just not be installed on Amiga Forever? I'm sure its possible as it says it requires Exec V45 but when I do a version I get the following: Kickstart 46.57, Workbench 45.3 [I know these aren't exec, I don't know how to get the current exec version -- but their both about 45...]
Thanks for any help, at this point I'm not sure what to try. :-)

The following was needed with OWB 1.1:
To make it work under winuae, I made a directory with the
amitcp demo files from aminet in it. I then assigned AMITCP: to that directory.
After doing this, OWB showed the google page on startup.
Edit: You have to do this, because OWB looks for some files
from the AMITCP package. There is no need to really install
AMITCP, and you still have to use bsdsocket emulation.
Just copy the installation files to the dummy directory.
I don't know if the amtcp install files are still needed
with OWB 1.3. If you get a white screen at startup instead
of the Google webpage, you still need them.
EDIT: Yep, just tested it. Under winuae OWB 1.3 still
needs the AMITCP install files.

Ok I've done that and its fixed the AmiTCP issue, I still get the "FPU Required!" error message though? :-?
As I said Im using an emulated FPU in WinUAE and am using the libs that use the FPU... :-?

Just tested it with 020 + FPU emulation. Doesn't work !
You must at least use 030 + fpu emu.

I'll give it a good testing now... Thanks for the help!

Lol, I meant to write "i'm comparing to Firefox on XP on the same machine"
:P
Its quite good, it is extremely extremely slow though...
Also how can I make fonts look nicer?
Other than thats its ok I suppose... needs a lot more work... if its slow on this laptop I can't imagine how slow it is on a real amiga! :-o
