I think that emulation has its place but you can never emulate the feeling of the real thing. Running an emulator just feels like yet another piece of software and takes some of the fun out of it.

Dont get me wrong, I love being able to emulate an Amiga, I currently have UAE running on a GP2x, Xbox and my PC.

hopefully soon I will also be able to get it for my Nokia and ipod touch

In that respect, emulation is better than the real thing because it is opening up the world of classic amigas to pretty much any device with the power to run UAE. Surely that can only be a good thing  :-)

In days of yore, we used to set the subject title to long boring quantum mechanics questions and the thread would disappear without trace... well that was the theory, in actuality the thread would often become one of the most popular and grow out of all control!
