Title: Has anyone delt with company Newegg?

I was thinking of buying from them next month or so.


PS. I wish someone would buy that A3000 off ebay for 150.00 or so and preserve it. I do not know the condition of it.

newegg is pretty much the only place i shop at for computer hardware.

I noticed their web site is messy. It made me wonder if there was a problem like going out of business.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, NewEgg will not accept international orders.  It's US only, I think.
I'd like to get a pair of quad core X5355s and some extra ram for upgrading my MacPro, since Apple never had an upgrade available for their quad core MacPros to take them to eight cores.  Why this was, I do not know.

In any case, the X5355 cpu chips are about $1000 USD apiece here in Japan, and that's if you can find them.  What business would you recommend for international orders ?

yea it is messy and they have changed the look of it several times since 2004 but the prices make up for that in my opinion.

You would think that in Japan you could get them for cheap.
That is the stereotype I guess.
Try AxionTech out of Houston.  There is a distributor called Bass computer ,I believe, they may be out Houston too.

The only time I have heard anything bad is from a mom and pop shop in the local area.

Newegg is one of the largest online providers of strictly computer hardware related goods in the US.  They are highly regarded in the PC world for their service and their prices.  Just like any business, people have occasional problems with them, but typically their service more than makes up for it.

I've been shopping from them almost exclusively for many, many years and never had an issue.

In the UK one should use dabs.com and ebuyer.com, I just check both sites and order from whichever is cheapest... Dabs tends to be a bit cheaper on the more expensive items... Ebuyer is cheaper on the cheaper items.

I don't know if either of those are around anymore (I used both, for a while), but the best place to buy parts in Houston, for the past couple of years, has been Directron(.com).
