Hi@all,
I have bought an Alfa Data AT-Bus 2008 card off Ebay, but I can't get it to work.
All I get is "you need a BSC controller installed" message when I try to install
HDD via provided HDinstTools.
Are there some "common" problems with these cards?
I tried different Zorro slots in my A2000, but nothing.
Thanks.

Hi,
here you'll find the manual: http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/atbus2008
Try checking the jumper JSOFF, as this switches the whole expansion off.

Joerg

Thanks Joerg, I checked it already. Jumper was "on".

is the tooltype set correctly (device=oktagon.device or similar)
thats the most important option in HDinsttools/hdtoolbox
I'd suggest trying different, newer version of hdinsttools, there is one on aminet I believe..

Thanks orange, still the same ):

Do you see the card in 'Early Startup' screen?
-
No thals, I don't see it there.
-
That's bad. As long as you don't see a card with id 2049 / 6 or 2092 / 6 there (marked as WORKING) you don't need to try to install the software.
Did you try removing all Zorro cards except the AT-Bus 2008? Are the memory jumpers correctly set?

Thanks thals, I give it up. It's 2:45 am here. I removed all
Zorro cards, checked the jumpers again... still nothing.
