Hello,
because germany is such a boring rainy country, we are developing much hardware to have fun.
Just want to inform you that after the Phoenix project (http://phoenix.a1k.org), after the PhoenixFE turboboard, after the Phoenix flickerfixer, after the Phoenix 8MB memory expansion and after the Phoenix-Buddha IDE controller now the Phoenix network card ready is. :)
Thank you to Andrew J Wilson for the Phoenix Board (a legend will never die!!!) and to George (http://www.gb97816.homepage.t-online.de) and Jens (http://www.jschoenfeld.com/) for all the additional hardware...
-
Not to mention good quality.
-
You probably mean the Phoenix NIC is finished - and where can we see it? Specs?
-
See there? Someone invents the Amiga and the Germans have something to do with their time. Idle hands and all that.

10MBit Network Card based on XSurf3 with special Phoenix connector... Take a look in the phoenix a1k.org area. NO official statements will follow. Try to get one or not... :-)
-
So is this for sale?
You guys seem to be hardware genious in Germany, why not make an Amiga mobo and sell it. I am sure I could scrape together 20 people who wants to buy it :-)
-
Soooo, any time left to make an A500 network card (+ workbench 1.x drivers) to fit in the expansion slot (and perhaps, if possible, with a pass-through)...
Or a remake of the CD32 FMV module?
Or an USB catweasel controller? (bit ugly, internal diskdrives using outside a computer case, but very useable to those who use laptops and so)
:puppy eyes:

I think one card is left...

www.natami.net, these guy is living 20km next to me. ;)
George also made a nextgen Phoenix II motherboard, with flickerfixer, IDE controller, 8MB memory, clockport and 030 onboard.

Ah.. so the Phoenix 2 mobo was/is going to be for sale?!

No, most of the people are just developers.
Everything, partlist etc. is avaible on his homepage. So some people can come together and build such a board.
-
Shipped my last card.
If there are still some people that want such a card, please get in touch with Jens Schoenfeld. http://www.jschoenfeld.com/
Pictures can be found in the showroom from www.a1k.org

Check this thread. There are about 30 of us having boards made and making our own "Phoenix 2".
Who would be interested in a blank pcb for Georg Braun's new A1000 system (GB A1000) (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=36626)
Will this nic work for Phoenix 2 also? I beleive it should.
Georg is also working on a GFX card based on the PicassoII for the Phoenix systems.

YES! And I think there are enough left for every new Phoenix 2 owner. :)
Phoenix 2 project is very nice, hope for success!

Yes, I hope mine works when I'm finished. :-)
So Jens has more cards? Do you know the cost? Is documention available to build our own?

So Jens has more cards?
Yes.
Do you know the cost?
100€ + shipping
Is documention available to build our own?
No, because it is a X-Surf III with special connector.
No self-build project.

Since I'm about to get a GB A1000 board I find this interesting.
I tried to find information about this card over at A1K.org but after hours of browsing Im unable. :boohoo:
I find 030 accelerator, ramcards and flickerfixer but nothing on this ethernet card.
Could you post a link to the thread that contains information/pictures etc. about it?
regards
Bandis

What connector type does it have? Is it just for the A1k Phoenix2 mobo, or will it work on the GB A1000 mobo? Also since the last one is sold, will more be produced for sale, or must we make our own adapters and buy a X-Surf3?

I am sorry, you are right. The thread with pictures is in the closed phoenix area for registered member.
I will make a new thread next week with picture in the showroom.

Thank you! :-)

We always wanted a Phoenix for one of our A1000's.

My dream is a NIC for A500 computers! If Jens build a special version of the card (Zorro II, if I not wrong), why not put it in a case with the adaptor for A500 too?
In my projects, I'm want next to design a side-slot expansion for A600!
But only after I finish the new A600 accelerator... Ops! Please, don't ask for more details on this.

I have put 3 pictures into the a1k showroom:

Get a "SlingShot" which gives you a Zorro slot for your A500 plus a pass through in case you have any other add-ons that need the expansion slot too. Then put any Amiga Zorro NIC card you want in it and you are all set.

Unfortunately it seems that I have one card to much.
If here is someone interested in my last card...
price: 100€
shipping: within europe 17€ / swiss 30€
shipping germany: 7€
New mach for BUDDHA controller is inside the package.
The card is without manual and without installation cd.
Support for installation can be found on www.a1k.org, driver can be used from x-surf III.

Hi
That looks like a really nice addon for the GB A1000! :-)
Do you think the design (network card) could be adopted for the side expansion port instead of the internal one or does it lack something vital in terms of signals compared to the internal slot?
Actually it would be nice if there could be something like a zorro extender busboard made!

Yes it is.

No, the product is ready and already produced.

I was wondering if anyone in Germany is building custom-ordered Blizzard PPC boards for A1200 or if Eagle-based layouts are available somewhere.
Thank you
Sam
