Title: Birdie and AWeb crash
Post by: AmigaMance on April 18, 2008, 05:04:35 PM
Hi. I recently installed Birdie 2000 and i noticed this problem:
When i try to run AWeb, i get a software failure window from Birdie right after the AWeb screen opens. If i do a left mouse click anywhere on the screen, the whole system locks up.
This only happens when AWeb opens on its own screen. If i set AWeb to open its window on WorkBench, there is no problem. I think that the initialization "splash" window of AWeb is causing the problem, not the AWeb window. In case i'm right, is there anyway to supress it?
The birdie line in the S-S is
run >nil: c:Birdie WindowEnabled WindowDisabled ACTIVEPATTERN PUBSCREENS
Aweb will work ok on its own screen if i remove the PUBSCREENS of course.

My system is an Amiga 1200, BPPC/040, BVision, OS3.9, CGFX 4. Anyone else gets this problem?

I also have this problem on my systems. I use birdie's
EXCLUDE parameter to prevent birdie from patching the AWEB
screen.

Lloyd

 Yes. EXCLUDE=AWEB also works.
