Title: How to ID AMAX Card Version
Post by: 98PaceCar on April 18, 2008, 03:35:28 AM
I pulled an AMAX Zorro card out of a 3000 I picked up a few years back, but I'm not sure if it's been upgraded to the IV version or not. The chip that is replaced as part of that upgrade is labeled as revision H. Is this a 2+ or an IV?

I have two of them and they are both upgraded to Amax-IV from Amax-II+.  I am almost positive that Rev g of IC5 is the II+ and Rev h is Amax-IV, so it looks like you have the latest version.

Here is the A-Max Homepage. I can't believe it is still up after all of these years. You had probably grab anything you want to download quickly:-D I backed up the site years ago just in case.

Thanks for the info! Now I just need to find a copy of Mac OS 7 instead of the 6 I already have. Good problem to have though!
