Anyone look at the videos of Blender in action over there?

I've used blender a fair bit, its awkward to learn but once you have learned the interface it becomes really powerful.

I agree with that statement. For the cost of the Blender book " The Essential Blender " and the capabilities that Blender offer it is worth the effort to me.
I wish it was ported to Aros and Amiga OS.

It is open source, why not have a go at porting it?

Wiki thinks it is already AmigaOS... a port to AROS should be easy!!!

I found out that there is an AmigaOS4 port but where it is I do not know. I am taking C++ this summer and maybe by the end of the year I will have something done, but hopefully sooner.

Looking at the screenshots it already looks in
pretty good shape to me.
