Like the title said, I found a page with all E. Schwartz anims!
The anims are visible even for non-Amiga computers (read PC and Mac, or whatsoever), directly on page, but with a little "plus": all anims are available to download in their original form!
Oops! I almost forgot the obligatory linkie link! (http://www.randelshofer.ch/animations/anims/eric_w_schwartz/thu_eric_w_schwartzVE.html)

"All of 'em" :-)

Hey, english is not my birth language. Be patient with me.;-)

This is a great site. I was looking at it last week.
It features many many famous Amigan artists work.

Well, technically " 'em " isn't a valid contraction either... but it will be understood by most English speakers... I wasn't getting at you, I just didn't understand what you meant at first :-)
-
Excellent! All of them are a good laugh now and then.
-
They miss the anim "back from the beach" featuring flip the frog and amy...
-
Great stuff, thank you for the link!
-
Should there be sound?
-
Great link, thank you!
But unfortunately I can't download the latest Eric's video (the Amiga Tribute) in any Amiga compatible format. I'd like to play it with e real Amiga!
Do you know another source?

@ AndreasM
Thank you but this is the mp4 file and it should be only playable on modern computers.
Since Eric did the animation on his A4000T, what I'm looking for is the original Amiga video file to play it directly on my A1200.
-
I ask Eric and when we get any i make it available on our download-page, too
-
Great!
Please don't forget to let us know when it will be available! :-D
-
I'd love to know the work flow/process used to create this version of the animations for the web. I've got some files I'd like to put online like this, rather than converting them to video and back again.

Dunno ;-)

The use of the apostrophe is a minefield in English... though I am of the opinion that as long as you can be understood it doesn't matter... It's nice to have a some rules :-)

@platon42

Hmmm: "In modern usage, apostrophes are generally omitted when letters are removed from the start of a word". I don't agree that this should be the case, though I agree that it is common practice.

I don't think so. Use it to show possession or elision... easy :-)

Heathen! :madashell: :-x

Nice find,
Thanks :)

The answer from Eric:
Not yet, though I am working on it. It shouldn't be too difficult, as the
animation itself isn't too demanding, though playing it snyced to gether
with the sound might be. I'm looking into player options.

Sure Eric has that file, and he's kindly sent it to me some weeks ago. I'm currently writing a player because the (lip-)sync has to be kept at all times and the audio playback frequency is not 100% synced to the frequency of the display. In fact, e.g. Paula cannot play at exactly 44.1 KHz or 22.05 KHz rate, and the PAL or NTSC are not exactly 50 Hz or 60 Hz either. Also MP3 playback is a no-no for the slow amigas, so I've written playback routines for IMA ADPCM. This morning was able to get 16 bit audio playback via AHI and video playback from my custom anim format with slightly better compression than anim5 (3.53 MB vs. 2.50 MB and further crunched down to 1.67 MB using LZ77), but the syncing is missing (and maybe also double buffering, but that might not be necessary for this nearly black & white animation).

The applet used on this site is able to play original Amiga IFF ANIM files directly, you don't need to convert your files.
It plays ANIM-5, ANIM-7, ANIM-8 and ANIM-J codecs and supports all Amiga display modes (OCS, ECS and AGA). You can download ANIMApplet (http://www.randelshofer.ch/animapplet/download.html) for free and use it for your own web projects.
ANIM files can be compressed (zipped) to reduce loading time. With this technique the clips will load almost immediately, like Flash movies. The zipped ANIMs you may find at the bottom of each page is actually the file the applet is playing.
BTW the applet can even handle the 'Pingpong' mode of ancient ANIM-J files. Check this out:
The classic Byte-by-Byte demo Kahnankas (http://www.randelshofer.ch/animations/anims/various_artists/Kahnankas.html) from 1987!

I am always looking for great animations for this site. I am very interested in classics from the early years of the Amiga and work that showed off the major graphics capabilities of the Amiga in that time.
The goal of the site is to show amazing clips created with Amiga computers. I am also interested in new stuff. Unfortunately original ANIM source files are hard to find, because these days they usually are converted into other video formats. In many cases the converted files become huge and the images often look very blurry or have ugly compression glitches.
Let me know if you do have awesome ANIMs that are missing here or clips you would love to see on this page.

Good to know you want some anim files. I have a friend who did some good anims back in the day. He leave the Amiga platform, unfortunately (like many others did). But I can contact him to give you a "licence" to show his work. He also put some of his animations on aminet, about a decade ago.
PM me if you are interested.
BTW: nice program! I'll test it and return some feedback to you.

"Back from the beach" is not Eric's work! He already stated that in some animation forums around the world!
And yes, I like to see it. Even if it is not from the talented animator/cartoonist we learn to like.

Ah, back to the days of my youth. You can sit and watch these videos and think that it's 1989 again! Thanks for the memories...

Not exactly in original anim format, but amiga native playback:

This one (http://www.randelshofer.ch/animations/anims/electronic_arts/TheTour.animVE.html) is incredible (as they all are, actually!)
So simple, and yet it ISN'T! But, it IS!
THIS is the Amiga I remember, creativity, exploration, FUN, and NatAmi60 is going to be a dream come true! (Even IF it costs $1,300, so-be-it!!)
