I have a SuperDrive from a dead Mac PowerBook G4 that I would like to install into my 060 A1200. I have seen a couple of CD/DVD drives installed in A1200s but they were not slot loading types. My question is what adapter do I need to use both my existing IDE 2.5" HD and the IDE SuperDrive? What type of ribbon cable do I look for to connect to the SuperDrive? It does not look like a standard cable for a 2.5" HD.
I think I know how to do it, but I am looking for tips and advice before I get started.

You need a "JAED" adaptor in the DVD drive and a split IDE cable, like the ones Amigakit sells (or Vesalia).

@amigadave
If you have any success with this project please let us know how you make out.
I have a slot loading superdrive from a Mac as well that I would love to use in my desktop A1200 (I could then get rid of my external SCSI CD drive which is almost the size of my A1200!!!)

Any suggestions on where to find the JAED adaptor? I'll go google it now. Thanks for the tip.
