Hello, New member, hope you don't mind if i ask some obvious questions to begin with it's been 20 years since I used an amiga 600, now i have a just bought a 1200 and I am looking forward to going back in time to get away from all things pc

Welcome Iain,
Hope you have fun with your Amiga.
It's interesting that people find excitement about playing with 20 year old Amigas.
I don't think going back to a 286 with MS DOS would generate that same response.

So you had an A600 in 1988 ? Tell me how you did that .....
-
oops!!!!....Ok might not have been 20 years ago but it must be close , keep me on my toes
Any help with would be appreciated
Thanks

Well actually, Id have to confess I am one of them. I love abandonware for the old PC up to the 286. Past that is dodge, but the gameplay on some of the oldies was fantastic, despite the obvious lack of graphics. Yes the Amiga was (and still is in my opinion) better than the PC stuff overall. But the old XT/AT classics will still have a place on my PC. :)

Welcome IainD
I didn't have any imaginary friends of my own as a kid, so I had to play with my brothers. But the ones I've found here at A.Org are simply the best ;-)

One of those guys who would say...
Someguy: 'Pi is about equal to 3.141593.'
Kronos: 'WRONG!! It's ≈ 3.14159265358979323846...Dogh Ha'DIbaH!'
:-P
Welcome IainD. I hope you enjoy your Amiga 1200. They're great machines. 16 or 20 years later, Amigas are still fun. :-D
