Hi
I have a 2000 that has Progressive Peripherals Inc., 2000-040 Rev C. 68040-33Mhz accelerator card with 32 megs of ram, A flicker fixer scan doubler card as well, Catweasel card with a Cd rom drive and a IDE hard drive.
Question is what system should I use as I has both systems on original disks & CD, any advantages of the later system.
I will be using the system for games and hopefully will take out flicker fixer card ( games don't look the same with picture so big on 19 inch flat panel ) and use the 1084 along with a gen lock card I have.
Thanks,
Xanaa :-D

I use my a2000 with a 25mhz 030 with os3.9...its not brilliant but very useable and ran very well on os3.5.
Hope this helps.

If you're only going to use the computer for playing games, then there is no reason for getting OS 3.5.
-
it depends by what Kickstart do you have because OS 3.1 requires KS 3.0 while OS 3.5 requires KS 3.1 Roms.
I would suggest you to upgrade your A2000 to OS 3.9

The computer has the correct Roms in it, The 3.5 system is still in the box and came with computer and was not installed. The catweasel card I realy don't care for.

If only for games, then use 3.1: It boots faster (no reset), less memory required, likely to be more compatible.

3.1 requires 3.1.

3.5 only adds large HD support. Other than that 3.5 is not worth of it.

WB3.1 runs fine with kickstart 3.0
