Title: Amiga OS 3.9 emergency disk
Post by: GMeanie on March 22, 2008, 07:52:59 PM
Does anyone know where I can find a Amiga 3.9 Emergency disk so I can reinstall from my CD rom to my Amiga 3000?

My Emergency disk isn't working anymore.

If I'm not mistaken, there is an option from the CD-Rom itself to make an emergency disk (When you choose to install OS 3.9 from the CD-Rom).

Create an Emergency Disk is the 1st option you have in the OS 3.9 CD!

My disk went bad.
I installed opus 5 on it and now things don't want to start up right.
I can see the directory on the cd-rom for OS 3.9 but none of the files will run they just open in a text editor.

Haven't used an Amiga in awhile now. Where is the shell command located? Maybe I can run the installer from there.

Ok found a way to get shell running.
What file do I run from the CD to start the installation of OS 3.9.

As you can see it has been awhile LOL.

On a CLI, change to the CD-ROM device (CD0:) and type: "installer install" (no quotes).

Ahh that worked thanks.
I was just under the wrong directory.
Now I just hope to get a good install disk made.
