Title: Images wont display

I installed the following last night;

OS 3.5 on top of OS 3.1
OS 3.9 on top of OS 3.5
Boing Bag 1+2 for 3.9

Now i can not get any images to display on backdrops in windows extra.

please help what have i broken? :-?

i should have added that if i try to assign a backdrop image - even iff - i get a message at boot time saying it cannot be displayed.
