I just came across this article about the Amiga on the BBC website:

It doesn't seem to be very well written. Why don't we discuss what needs changing and then see if we can get the changes implemented. I'll start:
"The Amiga project was originally overseen by Atari"
Amiga/HiToro started out in 1982, and while its true that Atari helped with funding early on, I think 'overseen by Atari' is stretching the truth a little.
"The AmigaOS was designed as a pre-Unix system. However fully fledged Unix style operating systems are available for the machine, including BeOS, Linux and BSD."
Surely they should mention AMIX?

Or maybe they should just hit the 'del' key.
I'm sorta puzzled how it could be a 'pre-unix' system when unix was developed around 1969, and Jay Miner's vision of the Amiga sprung from his love of the (then new) 68000 - a chip which first had initial engineering samples released in 1979...
I mean Jay was ahead of his time... but not 'Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure' ahead!

I would still like to make sure the Amiga is represented well on the BBC website, so should we keep the headings and rewrite the content by scratch?

Good spot. Maybe they meant to say pre-Linux, but that doesn't really add anything meaningful to the article.
