Ok, I got the Software Hut news letter and it had the following little snippet:
We now expect to see OS 4.0 for Cyberstorm PPC owners release in
September
and the Amiga One version about 1 month later.
I will put the whole email below or I can forward the email to anyone who wants to see it.
I've looked at A Incs website for news but to no avail and I went ot Software Hut for news but to know avail. Does anyone know anything about this? :-?
Or at least heard something more?
Oh yea, the email is basically telling of more A1 systems in stock.
I hope this is true and we can see a light at the end of a long dark tunnel.
Here is the whole email:

Welcome to another edition of the Software Hut Newsletter.
AMIGA ONE'S COMING IN
We have a new batch of Amiga One G4-XE units coming in this week. Alan at
Eyetech has extended the free offer on OS 4.0 for anyone purchasing an
Amiga One board or custom built system. This is a $ 99.00 value. As an
added bonus all the boards coming in have the faster 933mhz G4 CPU on

possible. Options for ordering can be accessed from our home page under

Have Software Hut ever previously mentioned a release date?
I'm a bit suspicious about this. If Hyperion are getting close to the release version, they would have mentioned a release date first, if anything to get Amiga fans off their backs.
I think Software Hut want to rake in some pre-order money.

Not that I ever remember...though I could be wrong.
I think Software Hut want to rake in some pre-order money.
My fears exactly though I am hoping against hope that something good is happeing.
-edit-
This is why I didn't post it in the News section. :-D
-
Didnt ben say in passing that Cyberstorm he hoped would be released before the end of the year? I remember he said something about the release which surprised me because i didnt think he'd say anything, because you know whats happened before.
Im cant remember what exactly he said, so dont quote me. But i know he mentioned something about a release. Maybe this was in the "ben_having_problems_with_some_kid.mp3" ? from AmiWest?

So Peg 2 and OS4 both out it September then? Wonder how long it'll be before for the patch to run it on a Peg2 is released? ;-)
-
lol
-
Uhm, I don't think it would suffice with a patch to make it run on the Peg2
Both firmware and hardware (NB _and_ SB) are different.
The Peg1 at least has SOME common ground.
-
My bet... (if all goes well :))
OS4 Classic PPC - October-November
OS4 AmigaOne - December-Genuary
What I have won ?

Well.. not going to say much, but looks a lot like those OS4 announcements KDH used to have on their website about a year ago. :-P

@JoannaK:
Well, the KDH announcements was never based on input from Hyperion.
Ben Hermans has been saying September 2003 for quite some time now.
Still, it won't do me a BIT of good since I don't have a CyberstormPPC...

Well.. perhaps not, but neither did Hyperion anything to release correct information and stop this obviously questionable adwertising.

Well... Nether have I. Nor anyone I know at this country is having those. I know some some BPPC owners but CyberstormPPC:s seem to be really rare ...
Any idea how many those CSPPC:s are even alive anymore?
-

Not entirely true. Hyperion have said many many times that they wouldn't give any release dates at all.
that should be enough for people to know that KDH was at best guessing.
Well... Nether have I. Nor anyone I know at this country is having those. I know some some BPPC owners but CyberstormPPC:s seem to be really rare ...
I only know CyberstormPPC owners and no Blizzard owners :)
Guess many cards have died, I have no idea of how many is still in working condition..?

Mwahahaha ! Can't resist ! Fish in barrrel time !
Despite their version of the Articia being buggy.
:roflmao:

@Rose:
That's just wrong on SO MANY levels.
Behave, girl ;-)
-
They did not mention the exact year... :-)
