Post by: GPT on August 03, 2003, 08:32:00 PM
I have downloaded all the common TTFonts and I used TTFEngine and I tryed to configure IBrowse 2.3 correctly.

And it's the part about configuering IBrowse that I can't manage.

Can anybody help me?

;-) As I understand it, AmigaOS 4.0 will have support for True Type fonts, so using them with IBrowse should be no problem.

I am unsure whether they can be used with IBrowse on AmigaOS 3.x.

They work fine in IBrowse as it stands. The above url shows how to set em up.

The difference between Voyager and IB though is that you have to setup each font you want to use manualy. IB doesnt seem to have Voyagers feature of default font sizes and calling relevent font name.

Id be glad to be corrected on that note though, as id so much like IB to be able to call the corect font if its installed. :)

With ttf.library you can use TTF fonts as standard text fonts in AmigaOS 3.x.

TTEngine is different from that, it can be used by programs to manage TTF fonts, but programs not supporting ttengine do not work with it.
